    Senior HS students showcase their creativity in Paper Flower Making

    PANABO CITY, Davao del Norte – In line with the National Arts Month celebration themed “Malikhain. Mapagbago. Filipino", the City Government through the Tourism Promotions Section (TPS) trained thirty (30) high school students on Paper Flower Making last February 8, 2017 at the Function Room of the City Hall Building, Barangay J.P. Laurel.
    Paper Flower Trainer, April San Pedro, said that students nowadays are lucky because the government provides all the materials that they need for the workshop.
    According to Mary Joy Gesta of San Vicente National High School, “I’m so grateful to be a part of this art workshop, this can showcase our skills and creativity”.
    Mayor James Gamao, represented by Executive Secretary Engr. Judith Lee, believes that the importance of participating in the paper flower workshop which is to develop and enhance student’s creative skills.
    “This is your opportunity to earn extra money and to showcase your work”, she added.
    TPS head Cher Bastida said that the training provides secondary students an avenue to boost their creativity and showcase their crafts at the Panabo Museum, which will also be used in some events in the city.
    The National Arts Month is pursuant to presidential proclamation No. 683 series of 1991 that is celebrated every month of February.

    By SEA, Panabo City is accessible through the Sasa port of Davao City. From Davao City you can choose among the numerous public vehicles to bring you to Panabo City.
