The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), led by Department Head Chareina Joy G. Lacuin, RSW, MSSW, conducted a capacity-building activity on August 5, 2025, at the 3rd Floor Function Hall, Panabo City Hall.

The purpose of the activity was to strengthen the knowledge and capabilities of Civil Society Organization (CSO) members regarding laws and proper procedures related to child protection.

As resource persons, PLTCOL Dexter R. Cuevas, PCMS Rondey Villacencio, and CSWDO Programs & Services Community Focal Charlotte L. Cadayona shared their expertise, discussing legal bases, processes, and community responsibilities for the welfare of children.

Additional insights on the role of volunteerism and services were provided by Dalia Amag from the City Information Office, while Licensing Officer II Sandy Sangco shared information about programs and services from the Business and Licensing Section focused on children’s welfare.

The activity was also attended by Social Welfare Officer III Samuel Marlixandro P. Eblamo, RSW, and CSWDO Acting Assistant Department Head Melvina A. Domingo, MSSW, RSW.
