September 16, 2025 – The Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management Council (FARMC) of Panabo City was honored with a Plaque of Recognition from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) in recognition of its achievements and contributions to the sustainable management of marine and aquatic resources.

The formal awarding ceremony was held during the 62nd Fish Conservation Week Celebration at the BFAR Regional Office XI, Ramon Magsaysay Avenue, Davao City. Panabo City FARMC achieved Level 5: Model of Excellence, the highest level in the FARMC Levels of Development, signifying its exemplary performance in the region and nationwide.

This recognition highlights the council’s strong efforts in improving the lives of fisherfolk, protecting marine ecosystems, and implementing innovative environmental programs.

The award was received by CFARMC Chairman Santy Nollora, together with POs Community Organizer Emily Egagamao, and was presented to Executive Secretary to the City Mayor Jo-Anne Gentiles Capuyan.
