October 28, 2025 — The Local Government of Panabo conducted an ad hoc interview as part of the recruitment and selection process for applicants under the Calendar Year 2025 Philippine National Police (PNP) recruitment, designated for Panabo City under the city’s attrition quota. The activity was held at the Mayor’s Conference Room, Panabo City Hall.

A total of 49 applicants participated, competing for 33 proposed slots.

The event followed Memorandum Circular No. 2008-003 and NAPOLCOM Memorandum Circular No. 2007-009, which establish the qualifications and procedures for the recruitment, selection, and appointment of Patrolmen and Patrolwomen in the PNP.

City Mayor Jose E. Relampagos led the deliberation together with the screening committee composed of PLTCOL Dexter R. Cuevas, Chief of Police–Panabo; Atty. Louie Limbaro, DILG–CLGOO; Hon. Omar P. Ranain, City Councilor; Ana Marie S. Gulanes; and other committee members, in accordance with the directive from the Chief, RRSS 11 issued on October 20, 2025.

The activity highlighted the continuing efforts of the Panabo City LGU and the Panabo City Police to ensure a fair, proper, and transparent selection of qualified applicants who will serve the public.
