READ | Araw ng Panabo talent competitions now open for registration
In line with Panabo’s 18th cityhood celebration, City Tourism Officer Cher Bastida invites all talented individuals to join and showcase their flair in the various Araw ng Panabo talent competitions.
Elementary, high school, and college students can bolster the fun during the opening celebration by joining the Drum & Lyre Bugle Competition on March 22. P35,000 will be given to the winning band for the closed category, and P50,000 for the Davao Region open category.
Meanwhile, dance enthusiasts can join the Hiphop Krump Dance Open Competition on March 24 or the Cheer Dance Competition on March 26. Grand prize for the Hiphop competition closed category is P15,000 and P20,000 for the open category, while the winning team for the Cheer Dance will be awarded P25,000.
Moreover, Tanghalan ng Kampeon sa Palengke will also be staged exclusive for market vendors on March 27 at the Premium Market Parking Area, to provide an avenue for the hard-working vendors to showcase their prowess in singing.
In its fourth year, Panabo City Got Talent (PCGT) will once again hunt for the most talented Panaboan all over the city. Starting March 8 to 20, PCGT will roam around the clustered barangays to search for the best talents of all ages. Finalists will compete on the grand finals on March 29. PCGT grand winner will bring home 15,000 plus certificate.
The Tourism Office emphasized that the number of contestants for the Cheer Dance competition and Drum & Lyre has been limited, thus interested groups must submit their forms sooner.
