READ| City Child Development Center conducts Recognition Day
The Child Development Center in the city celebrated their Recognition day on March 7, 2019 with the theme “Children are our future… Believe in the beauty of their dreams”. This is made possible through the City Social Welfare and Development Office with the Department of Social Welfare and Development Region XI.
During the ceremony, Councilor and Committee Chair in Social Services Hon. Flopone “Popop” A. Catalan emphasized that the quality building of the character of any child begins at home, especially in today’s high-technology era. Thus, he encouraged parents to support their children in their dreams. Board Member Janet Tanong Maboloc added that kids must be kept from social media use, citing the negative effects that would be detrimental to their growth.
