World performing arts medalists from Panabo City performed at the City Hall of Panabo on the morning of August 5, 2019 after receiving an invitation from City Mayor Jose E. Relampagos and the City Government of Panabo to recognize them in person. The award-winning performers are all students of the AQC Performing Arts Studio-Panabo Branch.
The most notable awards that Team Panabo City – Philippines garnered were: Gold Medal in the Grand Finals for Modeling for Karl Jade Ventura, Gold Medal-Senior Vocals (Semi-Finalist) for Kharla Sofea Estolas, and a Gold Medal for Senior Vocal-Gold Medal (Preliminary) for Crystel Jane Magno. They also took silver and bronze medals in other categories.
The City Mayor, along with City Administrator Pedrito A. Misoles, gave certificates of commendation and tokens to the medalists in honor of their outstanding performances that gave pride to the country during the 23rd World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA) last July 12, 2019 to July 23, 2019 at Long Beach California, USA where hundreds of talented individuals from across the globe participated. The Mayor also recognized the efforts of Coach Anne Quitoriano-Casteel, who is also the owner of the AQC Performing Arts Studio and the Davao Regional Director of the World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA)-Philippines.
Crystel Jane Magno received the certificate of appreciation and performed a song that wowed the crowd. While, Casteel received the certificates in behalf of Karl Jade Clemente Ventura, Kharla Sofea Jara Estolas and Talent Scout, Kareen C. Ventura.
Coach Ann Quitoriano-Casteel thanked the City Mayor and the people behind their success. She also thanked the Panaboans for the unwavering support to the participants of WCOPA. On the other hand, known WCOPA alumnus, Tawag ng Tanghalan Judge and singer-songwriter Jed Madela also supported the Philippine participants.
