Almost a hundred families living on the coastline of Panabo City were given relief goods on August 9,2019 at the open court, Purok Santol, Barangay Cagangohan after they experienced the catastrophe brought by the Southwest Monsoon or Hangin Habagat. The activity was spearheaded by the Department of Social Welfare and Development XI in coordination with the City Government of Panabo through the City Social Welfare and Development Office.

Mayor Jose E. Relampagos was grateful to the agency for initiating the event. He added that his office will also be distributing additional relief goods on Tuesday August 13,2019 to sustain their needs. Afterwards, the City Mayor, along with the rest of the DSWD personnel present, personally handed over the relief goods to the families.
According to the report from the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO), a total of 215 individuals or 84 families were affected while four houses were totally damaged. Further, the CDRRMO continues to monitor the situation and the gathering of data in coordination with the CSWDO. The Barangay DRRMO is also active in the monitoring of the coast line.
2nd District Congressman Representative Alan Dujali also gave food assistance on August 7,2019 while the Office of the City Mayor through the Public Employment Service Office and the Department of Labor and Employment conducted the Emergency Employment Program to the affected families.
