Presidents and members of Civil Society Organizations (CSO) had their first meeting with City Mayor Jose E. Relampagos on August 8, 2019 at 2nd Floor, ABC Hall, Panabo City. The conference was for CSOs to be accredited in the City Government and taking part in special committees in accordance to DILG policy.
Mayor Relampagos was delighted to meet the CSOs of the City for the first time as Local Chief Executive and encouraged them to support the peace and order programs of the City. He said that there is a bigger possibility that Panabo will soon become a drug-free City if everyone will cooperate and support the campaign against drugs. He also plans to put CCTV in all areas and provide police and CSU visibility 24/7 for the safety of the public.
The Mayor also stated that he is open to any suggestions and negative comments against him as he is willing to listen to help him become better in his leadership. He will also institutionalize a team for the CSOs to provide easy access with regards to their concerns.
