The year 2017 has been a vibrant year for Panabo City. We have accomplished and exceeded targets that made us the 2nd Most Competitive Component City in the Davao region. Moreso, we moved to the 36th spot as Most Competitive Component City from 68th spot in 2016 among 112 cities in the Philippines. Some of the many programs, projects, and achievements we have featured here reflects our economic dynamism, government efficiency, resiliency, and improvement of infrastructure — the four main pillars set by the Cities & Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI). We are still far from the topmost spot, but what matters is we are breaking milestones and moving forward to excellence. I am truly grateful to our Almighty God for this appreciation and I am hopeful that this national recognition will further fuel the passion of our government workforce in serving our community towards growth and development, and inspire Panaboans to excel in our respective fields and feats.
