In line with the 30th Commemoration of the Library and Information Services (LIS) themed, “LibREAL (Libraries: Relate, Engage, Advocate, Lead)”, the City Government of Panabo will be having our first ever VIRTUAL READING CONTEST featuring our pupils of grades 1 to 6.
MECHANICS
1. The contest is open to enrolled pupils of grades 1 to 6 and must be bona fide residents of Panabo City.
2. The organizers will only accept entries submitted by the school head/coordinator/coach.
3. Schools may submit entries for two (2) categories:
a. Category A – Grade 1 to Grade 3
b. Category B – Grade 4 to Grade 6
4. If the school cannot submit entries for the two (2) categories, one (1) entry can still be accepted.
5. Video must show the contestant reading a book (fiction or non-fiction, bible stories, fairy tales, and the likes).
6. Contestants are allowed to read either Filipino or English stories.
7. Video entry must be a minimum of three (3) minutes and a maximum of four (4) minutes.
8. School heads or the school reading coordinator/Coach must submit the videos of their contestants to citylibrarypanabo@gmail.com with the following format:
a. Subject: (Name of School) Reading Contest Entry/Entries.
b. Body: Contestants’ names, ages, grades, and barangay. Include name of
sender (preferably the school’s head/coordinator/Coach)
c. Attach two (2) videos for Category A and Category B.
9. Contestants will be judged according to their delivery, costume and design, and Presentation which includes the quality of the video and audio.
10. Deadline of entries is on December 2,2020.
11. Publication and Judging for the Top 10 per category is on December 3,2020.
12. Final Judging is on December 4,2020. Winners will be published
on the City Government of Panabo social media pages and website.
13. Judges’decision is final and irrevocable.

Delivery (Pronunciation/Diction) – 50%
Costume and Designs – 30%
Presentation – 20%
Prizes (For each category)
1st – P 3,000.00 w/ Certificates for contestant and coach
2nd – P 2,000.00 w/ Certificates for contestant and coach
3rd – P 1,500.00 w/ Certificates for contestant and coach
Top 4 to 10 – P 500.00 w/ Certificates for contestant and coach
