PANABO CITY, Davao del Norte – Mayor-elect Jose Relampagos together with the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) Members-elect took their oath of office today, June 29 at the Panabo City Hall Lobby before Regional Trial Court Branch 4 Acting Presiding Judge Carmel Gil Grado.
Before the Oath Taking Ceremony, a Thanksgiving Mass was officiated by Fr. Lucas Carisma of San Agustin Parish.
“Leaders are servants of the Lord and instruments of goodness and grace to the people,” said Fr. Carisma in his homily. He reminded the elected officials to fulfill their platforms made to the people during their campaigns.
Panabo City Election Officer Sittie Rahma Pantalan initiated thereafter a ceremonial proclamation of winning candidates and their votes earned before the ceremony.
Mayor Relampagos was joined on stage by his wife Josephine and children Board Member-elect Atty. Janris Jay Relampagos, incoming Executive Secretary and former SK Fed President Josie Mary Relampagos, Josephus Relampagos, incoming Executive Assistant III Jo-Anne Capuyan, son-in-law Gerald Capuyan, and the family of in-law and Board Member-elect Franklin Gentiles and other family members during his oath of affirmation of office.
“Leaders, employees and all the people of Panabo must unite to achieve our dreams for the City,” said Mayor Relampagos in his speech. He announced that his governance will lead to “no corruption” in line with the vision of President Rodrigo Duterte.
He also reminded the department heads of the City Government of Panabo to perform their duties well.
Elected legislative officials are: Vice Mayor Hon. Janrey Gavina, SP members (according to the votes obtained) Hon. Janno Paolo Gentiles, Hon. Gregorio Dujali III, Hon. Devona Jumamil, Hon. Emeterio Blase, Hon. Flopone Royle Catalan, Hon. Wendel Enad, Hon. Emmanuel Pamisaran, Hon. Dizon Namuag, Hon. Renante Bangoy and Hon. Wahid Ranain.
Davao del Note Representative-elect Alan Dujali, Governor-elect Edwin Jubahib, Vice-Governor-elect Rey Uy graced the event with their presence and messages along with other provincial officials.
The occasion was witnessed by city hall employees, representative from national line agencies, family members of officials and their supporters.
The elected officials will assume their duties in accordance to the law at 12 Noon on June 30,2019.
