On September 15,2020, the Department of Education Panabo City Division and the City Government welcomed new Assistant Schools Division Superintendent (ASDS) Phoebe Gay L.Refamonte,CPA,CESE. She is one of the youngest ASDS in the country.

Refamonte was the ASDS of DepEd-Davao De Oro Division under the leadership of the current SDS Eufemia T.Gamutin,CESO V. She was also the ASDS during the time of Dr. Reynante A.Solitario before he transferred to Panabo City. A student achiever, Refamonte finished her Master’s Degree in Public Administration in 2020.

City Mayor Jose E.Relampagos, duly represented by City Information Officer Michael Angelo A.Resueño, hopes that Refamonte will foster a good relationship with the City Government of Panabo as well as help in the formulation of policies and implementation to deliver quality education to the students. He emphasised Mayor’s “Educational Support” as part of the latters’ 10-Key Point Executive Agenda.

City Councilor Hon. Emmanuel Pamisaran, Chairperson of the Committee on Education, greeted the new ASDS and informed her of his support to the Department of Education and its educators in the 8th City Council.

Refamonte’s predecessor Rebecca Sagot is the new ASDS of DepEd-Davao Del Norte Division.
