April 26, 2018, City Mayor James G Gamao officially receives new equipment from Director Alimbzar P Azum of the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) XI at the City Library, Parks and Plaza.
The three new computer units with internet connectivity were turned over to the City of Panabo to enhance its services in the Tech4Ed Program under the supervision of the City Agriculturist’s Office.

The Tech4Ed Program which means Technology for Education, Employment, Entrepreneurship for Economic Development is a strategy of the DICT to give free and faster digital learning opportunities to everyone interested, most especially farmers and researchers.
Azon says that education is a top priority to end poverty. With the advent of technology, farmers and students can learn faster. The Mayor replied during his acceptance message that the City desires to extend the said Program to the barangays.

The program succeeded with a MOA signing between the City and the DICT. It was also attended by the City Agriculturist Alejandro Mayato, Agricultural Training Institute XI Info Officer Rhoda Austria, DICT Provincial Team Leader Eduard Tuquib, City Information Officer Michael Angelo Resueño, IT Officer Honey Lou Danila, Barangay Food Terminal representatives from brgys Manay, Dalisay, and Cacao, and LGU employees. CIO
