Panabo National High School gears up in advocating W.A.T.C.H. (We Advocate Time Consciousness and Honesty) Program through dynamic activities to increase awareness of its significance among students, teachers and even the community of Panabo City.
“Aside from developing the values of punctuality and honesty which could help the students in their future career, I guess the most important thing is to help students, especially the poor students who do not have the means of transportation to finish study”, said Dr. John Visillas, the W.A.T.C.H. Coordinator of the school in a short acquaintance adhering the Supreme Student Government’s Bisekwela Program bestowing 10 bicycles on selected students as the highlight of the W.A.T.C.H. Program last July 17, Tuesday, encouraging recipients to come early in school.
The W.A.T.C.H. culmination was attended by Banjong Uy Dujali III, Emmanuel Mawe Pamisaran, the City Councilors who pledge to support the program, the W.A.T.C.H. Coordinator of the Division of Panabo, and Michael Angelo Resueño, the City Information Officer.
“The program today is unique, especially when the Chairman Committee on Education in the City Council, Chief of Staff Audit promised us that they’re going to make a law to award the most honest student in whole Panabo City and they’ll be giving prizes to students”, added by Dr. Visillas envisioning that this award will motivate the students and the rest of the Panaboans to be honest.
Advocacies were also administered to the Barangay Councils, City Councils, City Information Office, St. Augustine Parish Church and PNHS page, July 9, Monday.
Dr. Visillas also stressed out that the program inspires the teachers to come early as their attendance were being monitored and punctual teachers were awarded every month. Reports were also submitted to the Administration on time.
Some of the school W.A.T.C.H. program are the following: Checking the attendance by class through Log book, awarding of Most Punctual section by the SSG, awarding of Punctual Students every month, W.A.T.C.H. integration every last week of the month reflected in Values Education or Araling Panlipunan lessons plans, Uniporme Mo Sagot Ko or school uniform donations, home visitations, inclusion of the program concept in school paper.
Also, other activities that are observed are the following: posting Lost and Found bulletin Board in Guard House for unclaimed item, putting up W.A.T.C.H. corner in every classroom and scattering advocacies through tarpaulins in the school campus.
PNHS strengthens the W.A.T.C.H. Program advocacy in the hopes of bagging again the title as one of the top 10 Best Implementing School all over the Philippines.
