READ| DTI implements price freeze in Davao del Norte

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has implemented a price freeze among basic commodities in the entire Davao del Norte, following the provincial resolution declaring the whole Davao del Norte province under a state of calamity.
The price freeze subjects various products and basic necessities to its prevailing or average price, thus, prohibiting businesses to increase the cost of the identified products under DTI’s strict monitoring.
Among the products identified by the DTI are sardines and other canned goods, processed milk, coffee, instant noodles, soap, bread, bottled water, and condiments such as vinegar, fish sauce, soy sauce, and salt.
The price freeze shall remain as the price ceiling in the cities and municipalities of Tagum, Panabo, Island Garden City of Samal, Asuncion, Kapalong, New Corella, Talaingod, San Isidro, Carmen, Sto. Tomas, and Braulio Dujali until April 5, 2019, unless lifted sooner.
See the full list of items under the strict control and monitoring of the DTI below.
