The Department of Communication and Technology (DICT) recently launched another Tech4Ed Project in the city at the Negosyo Center Ground Floor, Museu Panabo last March 4, 2019. Together with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and heads of the city government, the project was successfully launched with the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement.

By giving communities access to information, Engr. Albert Gabriel, Tech4Ed Focal said, “the DICT aims to strengthen the use of Personal Computer (PC) to open opportunities to the people”. He specified that the target sectors of the project are the out of school youth, teachers, students, Persons with Disabilities (PWD’s), women, senior citizens, Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW’s), entrepreneurs, Indigenous people (IP’s), farmers and fisher folks.
The Tech4Ed is a technology empowerment for education, employment, entrepreneur and economic development. It provides access points for individuals and communities to bridge the digital and educational divide.
