The City Government of Panabo, through the Local School Board Chairperson City Mayor Jose E.Relampagos, officially turned over five (5) duplicating machines, one (1) ComColor Printer, and 200 WiFi modems to the Department of Education-Panabo City Division on November 16,2020 at the DepEd Division Library Hub. The machines and modems cost P2.64 Million to aid the reproduction of learning modules and online classes in the city of Panabo.

As part of his 10-point Executive Agenda, Mayor Relampagos commits to extend his support to the education agency during the COVID-19 pandemic. He said that the machines and modems must serve its primary purpose to provide quality learning materials for students.

Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Reynante A.Solitario, CESO VI, mentioned that each machine will be given to the printing hubs in Panabo Central District, North District, South 1 District, South 2 District, the Secondary Schools, and the Division Library Hub. The machine is intended for the reproduciton of modules.

On the other hand, the 200 WiFi modems will be distributed per school according to the number of teachers.

As of School Year 2020, Panabo City has 44 public elementary schools, one (1) integrated public school, 16 public secondary schools with 1,645 teachers (teaching positions) and an estimated 44,000 enrolled students.
