The Association of Civil Registrar Inc. from Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay and Isabela City, Basilan led by Vice Mayor Elizer Yamaro have visited Panabo City to benchmark the City Civil Registrar’s own database system and online portal where clients can access important details of various services offered by the local registry office on August 29-30, 2019 at the PGEMPC function room, Panabo City Hall compound.
According to Vice Mayor Yamaro of Zamboanga Sibugay, they heard the CCROs program during the National Summit and Conference on Civil Registration held in Surigao City and told his wife who is also the Local Civil Registrar in Zamboanga Sibugay-Titay about the program.
“As a Vice Mayor, we could learn ideas and we could implement the system in our city through our legislation,” he said. Vice Mayor Yamaro also acknowledged the hospitality and the accommodating staff of the city. He also added that being a member of the Vice Mayor’s League in the Philippines, he could share this idea about local registry to his constituents.
Visitors from Zamboanga Sibugay is one of the ten cities who held its benchmarking in Panabo and invitations were also sent to different cities in order for the CCRO Panabo to conduct trainings regarding their system.
The guests from Zamboanga Sibugay are composed of Zamboanga Sibugay Civil Registrar Association Inc. President Samson S. Barrientos, LLB, Acting City Civil Registrar Head of Isabela City, Basilan Dayang Mirhama A. Jaljalis and their members.
City Civil Registrar’s Office Head of Panabo, Dennis B. Devilleres, LLB, expressed his gratitude and commended the people in their office for their participation and hard work that contributed to the success of his plan in implementing automated registration system.
Last year, CCRO Panabo received a certificate of recognition from the #DigitalcitiesPHAwards of the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) for their implementation of the TOTAL LCR: A CIVIL REGISTRATION MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM on October 12, 2018 at PCCI, Pasay City.
