Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairperson Emilio B.Aquino recognises Panabo City as one of the two LGUs in Davao Region that has contributed to the mission of SEC to provide a secure and inclusive environment for capital markets and businesses.

According to SEC Information Officer Leslie Lao-Fransisco, the recognition is for the LGU’s “significant contribution to the Commission’s investor protection projects, activities and programs in 2020.”

The plaque, that was handed over to City Mayor Jose E.Relampagos through Executive Assistant III Jo-Anne R.Capuyan, was given on May 11,2020 at SEC Office, Davao City. It was first presented during the 84th SEC Founding Anniversary and Recognition Ceremony in November 2020 but was not given to the LGU due to quarantine policies.
