TODAY | Oplan Kaluluwa 2018 commences to ensure order during Undas in Panabo City

The City Government of Panabo in partnership with the national enforcement agencies teamed up for the two-day Oplan Kaluluwa operations. The oplan will cover three city cemeteries: (1) Old Cemetery at Barangay New Visayas (2) Eternal Garden at Barangay Datu Abdul Dadia and (3) Memorial Park Cemetery at Barangay San Francisco.
In addition, Incident Command tents are installed at each cemetery for public concern and safety. Fire trucks and ambulance are also on stand-by.

Awarding of the winning participants for the Panagtigi 2018. In-line with the celebration of Buwan ng Tribu Inter-School Competition. Winners of the Panagtigi 2018 are the following:

Poster-Making Contest: Champion – Fatima M. Tomacoron (Southern Davao national High School)
Fiction Short Story Writing Contest: Champion – Yuki Hara S. Nara (Maryknoll College of Panbao, Inc.)
Essay Writing Contest: Champion – Rhencelle Noel (Maryknoll College of Panabo, Inc.

The Presidential Proclamation No. 124 of 2001 declares the third week of November of every year as Drug Prevention and Control Week. In relation to this, the City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) and its partner agencies are spearheading the week-long activities to increase awareness and understanding of the adverse effects of drug abuse not only on the health of our people but also on our social, economic and even the political development of our country.

The activity will start with a Motorcade on November 19, 2018, kick-off is 7:00 in the morning, together with a SIMULTANEOUS OBSERVANCE of the Drug Prevention and Control Week in schools, government agencies, and private companies. Your participation in increasing awareness would be a helpful factor in actively supporting the government’s efforts in combating illegal drug use and criminality.
That day, wearing “white shirt” will be the symbol of our support against illegal drugs. We also encourage our Panaboans to publish the activity on social media with the hashtag #PanaboKontraDroga.
