JobStart Philippines is a program of the Department of Labor & Employment (DOLE) which has an objective to enhance the employability of at-risk youth to improve their employment through access to career guidance, life skills and technical trainings, and internship.
PESO Manager Cherelle Espinosa encourage youth to register to PESO office on a first-come, first serve basis. The program is open to those who are 18-24 years old, Filipino Citizen, at least reached high-school level, not employed, not enrolled, or undergoing training, with 0-12 months work experience and actively looking for work. #BastaPanaboPanalo

HOT PURSUIT OPERATION OF THE PNP DAVNOR PANABO

The PNP Panabo was in hot pursuit of two unidentified men onboard a Raider J 115 Suzuki color red motorcycle after perpetrating a robbery at the National Highway fronting Jollibee around 2:30 am today, August 31. The men are said to be armed. The PNP Panabo engaged with the robbers while they are attempting to rob another victim at the Panabo Public Market .

One of the suspects fired at an officer while on the chase. Mobile Team No. 3 of the police were able to neutralize one of the suspects and recover from his possession one (1) improvised firearm (sumpak) loaded with one (1) cal.45 and the other suspect believed to be armed with a .38 cal revolver was able to evade arrest and is still at large. The suspect hit was declared dead by the attending physician at Somozo Hospital after being brought by personnel from the Panabo Emergency and Rescue Services (PEARS).
The suspect’s cadaver lies at St. Teresa Funeral Homes for post mortem examination.

PANABO CITY – RANK 31 IN THE OVERALL RANKING OF CMCI

In this year’s Regional Competitiveness Summit, Panabo City moved five (5) steps higher from last year, placing on the 31st spot in the overall ranking of Cities and Municipalities Competitive Index (CMCI).
The CMCI is a competitiveness ranking framework based in key indicator areas of Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency, Infrastructure, and Resiliency.
This year, Panabo ranked 8th in the infrastructure pillar, while it occupied the 18th spot in terms of resiliency in the component city category.
According to DTI Secrerary Ramon M. Lopez, most foreign investors refer to the CMCI results to help them decide where to locate, and invest their money.
With this, the CMCI would be a key driver for LGUs to be more competitive and attract more investments.
Moreover, the Province of Davao del Norte placed 3rd as the Most Competitive Province all over the Philippines, following the provinces of Laguna, and Rizal respectively.
Special Assistant to the President, Christopher “Bong” Go was also present as guest speaker during the event.
