In view of the magnitude 6.0 earthquake that occurred in the Municipality of New Bataan, Davao de Oro at 6:44 PM on February 1, 2023, Governor Edwin I. Jubahib signed a Memorandum Order SUSPENDING CLASSES IN ALL PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS IN ALL LEVELS IN THE ENTIRE DAVAO DEL NORTE, effective February 2, 2023,

The suspension of classes is directed to give way for the conduct of safety inspections of all school buildings, both private and public.
Lifting of suspension shall be determined by the respective Local Government Units after the conduct of the inspection.
